Summer Camps

CAMP UPDATE: RCC still is exploring what the COVID-19 pandemic will require with respect to our summer camp offerings. We are investigating FCPS planning and how summer youth program options will connect to that. When we have a more clear understanding, we will be able to formulate a procedure for handling refund requests. If the COVID-19 pandemic causes disruption to the offerings, we will of course make refunds to affected participants. On the other hand, if the pandemic intensity has subsided sufficiently for safe operation of those programs, our standard refund policy would be in effect.

If possible, we hope patrons can wait for more clarity on the summer cycle of programming available to Fairfax County youth; we hope to obtain that by mid-to-late April. As soon as we know the status of the school system’s approach and how county agencies should proceed, we can provide that information to all of our summer enrollees. We will send out the guidance via our myRCC records for your household. Please be sure your contact information in myRCC is accurate.

Thank you again very much for your patience as we work through this unprecedented public health crisis.

Welcome! Reston Community Center’s staff has put together a great 2020 summer camp season stocked with adventure, learning and opportunities to make new friends. We invite you to explore camps in our 2020 Summer Camp Guide or WebTrac and join us for a summer full of adventure, learning and fun! We have full day, half day and child care options designed to meet the needs of busy families. In particular, child care options have been expanded. Campers may be dropped off at 8:00 a.m. and will be supervised until camp starts at 9:00 a.m. We also have Zen Zone after-camp care, which extends the day until 5:30 p.m.

Registration – Camp registration begins at 9:00 a.m. on February 1 for Reston patrons; February 8 for Non-Reston patrons. Patrons are encouraged to register online. Please visit our Registration page and ensure you have a household account and are prepared for registration. In-person registrants will need to visit the Find Your Camp Form page and complete a Camp Registration Form. In-person registration is available at either RCC location.

Find Your Camp Form  – This page provides the Camp Registration Form, Camp Forms Packet (due May 15), Fee Waiver Application, and any applicable liability waivers (also due May 15).

Fee Waiver Application – Reston Community Center provides fee waivers to help eligible residents and employees of Small District 5 participate in RCC summer camp programs. Online registration is not currently available for Fee Waiver Applicants. For more information and assistance with registration, please e-mail RCCContact@fairfaxcounty.gov, or call 703-390-6144.
